Software Project Manager

Job Description

As a Software Project Manager at xpress, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our software projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, quality assurance specialists, and stakeholders, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Project Planning
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
  3. Risk Management:
    • Identify and proactively manage project risks and issues.
    • Develop mitigation and contingency plans to ensure project success.
  4. Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and stakeholders.
    • Regularly communicate project status, progress, and updates to all relevant parties.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the defined quality standards.
    • Conduct thorough testing and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and resource utilization, making adjustments as necessary.
    • Ensure efficient resource allocation to maximize project efficiency.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Software Project Manager in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in agile and/or lean software development methodologies is a plus.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
